I have owned the car for several years but less than one day after picking it up from the dealer i already had it in pieces. I originally purchased the car for work use but after the first day of owning it i had to buy another car to actually own a 'work' car.. it has since been turned into my hobby. I have fitted the following...
Front mount intercooler, custom intercooler piping, modified front
bumper to suit custom cooling, mesh'd bumper, custom timing belt and
alternator pulleys to allow heavier load. High performance belts,
lowered head compression, decomp engine, custom manifold, custom turbo
hi-flow'd, custom exhaust with custom dump pipe to
suit. Hi flow'd and bigger injectors, the new haltech computer
management, engine and cabin wiring has been replaced/re-wired to suit
new computer and aftermarket guages next to shifter such as seperate
(air/fuel, boost and temperature).
Aftermarket temperature sensor made to suit water feed line for new
guages. Custom crank angle sensor on custom mount to make sure engine
received quick and accurate signals. I replaced the single thermo fan
with 3 on a custom mount. Before having all my wires and hoses
braided, when i had my top cover and all my pipes painted to suit the
car colour. When my engine was in pieces i fitted my new oil catch can and oil relocation kit to make sure it runs a bit smoother and cooler. Not to mention other engine work etc.
Cabin has had a full stereo re-fit. With upgraded front 6 speakers,
with an additional 14 speakers in the rear. New wiring and dvd player
in the front. Hooked up legally to make sure i couldnt get done for
it. Sound system totalling 1 12' sub, 4 amps and 21 speakers. Some may
think 1 sub is not enough but it shattered a window over 5 metres away
so think again... Puts out a tiny 144db
Then i re-upholstered the door trims after having the custom recaro bucket seats to suit my car. I then had all the interior inserts
painted to suit the new seat covers and door trims. I then also fitted
all my new lights in the cabin including a l.e.d conversion. (No not any poofy neons)
The boot has mostly stereo gear but i made a custom cover to hide all
my wiring etc from all the speakers on my parcel shelf. To top it off i had my new wheels fitted (which was the first person to order them in australia as they had just came out), before having my whole suspension upgraded with springs, shockies, sway bars and a custom made traction bar at the front to help prevent torque steer.
Used to run low boost (4.5psi) it puts out a tame 129kw at the wheels, but on a wopping 27psi it puts out 213kw at the wheels. Currently running low boost on 12psi on able to run 22psi+ comfortably. I have just mounted and tuned my nitrous system in the cabin to allow me to run 300kw at the flick of a button.
