You’ve just got to love JDM Option. Give me high-powered drifting any day over that poxy Supercars thing. Here then is another instalment of your favourite series, this time based at the ’06 D1 held in Las Vegas.
Apart from the usual, Nomuken examines drifting ‘tricks’, while Zaku gets a little distracted by the swimsuit comp, as did we.

This was the first time ever the D1 had invaded Las Vegas, and boy do those Yanks love a bit of well-placed sliding under the cover of darkness.

With 120° weather, the battle was well and truly on for the crowd of almost 10,000 who came to see the midnight event.

The NHRA also showed up and displayed it wares, making for a double whammy, so to speak, of motorsport madness.

My personal fave part? Probably when the Team Orange pushed their Skyline just a little too hard and ended up smacking in right into the wall in front of the judges. Ouch.
