GEMBALLA GT OR LE MANS RACER?

Those maestros of making Porsches into pure auto art, the guys at Gemballa have turned what was already one of the world’s most exotic cars into an absolute heart-stopper.

Only 1500 Carrera GTs have been built, and so to say that Gemballa is aiming at a fairly select market here is an understatement. But if you’re still like “Damn, my GT looks like all those others”, you’d be well advised to make an appointment with ol’ Gem.

Boasting 612hp from a 5.7L V10, Gemballa believes that you can never have too much power, and so it’s managed to squeeze another 60hp and 20Nm more torque to slice off 0.1sec from the GT’s 0–100. This is all thanks to a newly designed exhaust system.

Looking more like it’s suiting up for Le Mans as opposed to ‘Le Sands’, the Gemballa GT features new side panels, skirts, spoilers and more gaps and holes for enhanced cooling to the monster-sized rear brakes. Apparently, it all equals more downforce, too, and hey, you need plenty of that hooning down the autobahn.

The kit also features a new rear wing with brake flap that ‘snaps’ down a la Bugatti Veyron for increased braking force.

Wheels? Oh boy are there wheels. Measuring in at 19x9.5 front and – wait for it – 20x21.5 rear, you can expect a steamroller-sized 335/30 strip of rubber to seriously affect your pocket money.
Inside is pure heaven, now helped along by a range of carbon components. A re-styled console also features, as does a new integrated multimedia system so you can take your pick between Metallica or muscle.
