  THE NEW ALFA-ROMEO LINE-UP

ALFA-ROMEO 8C

Italy’s best luxury-car company has decided to build a super-car. This car I speak of is the Alfa Romeo 8C – 8 for eight cylinders and C for ‘competizione’, which is Italian for competition. The 8C has a 4.7L V8 powerplant located at the front end of the car. The engine produces 450hp, which proves that this Alfa is ready to play ball if you put your foot down. The 8C will be making an appearance at the upcoming Sydney International Motor Show and is completely road legal.

ALFA-ROMEO 166TI

H’mm, the Alfa-Romeo 166Ti does sound misleading. You’d be forgiven for thinking that it has a 1.6L engine because of its name, but in fact, it actually has a 3L V6 – yippee! There are plenty of luxury items inside the new Alfa, as well as 18in wheels that don’t look too bad for stockers. The best thing about this Alfa, though, is that it doesn’t cost any more than the model it replaces. That’s a good thing too, considering that the previous one costed approximately $84,950.

ALFA-ROMEO SPIDER

Could you think of a better car to go cruising in than the new Alfa Romeo Spider? Although it may look like a Brera Coupe with its roof chopped off, the Spider is so much more, especially considering that it has had the rear seats removed to allow for a folding soft-top that stows away behind the driver and front passenger. The basic model comes with a 2.2L four-cylinder with an output of 136kw, and the top-of-the-range model comes with a 3.2L V6 with an output of 191kW.
