We recently received an email here from Josh Burley, the owner of the very orange Mirage that graced our 142nd issue.

Now, the MIVEC is gone and in its place an extremely rare (allegedly less than 10 in Australia) 4G93T, 1.8L DOHC Turbo from the CE-model GSR, which was never released here.

The brakes have also come in for a major overhaul, with the front brake set-up from an Evo IV RS (276mm rotors and twin-piston calipers).

Along the way a few mods jumped onboard, and they include a genuine Hybrid intercooler, Walbro fuel pump, custom intake, GFB Hybrid BOV, 3in mandrel-bent exhaust and a few other bits and pieces.

It’s great to see the Mirage coming along, and it’s also nice to see the same level of workmanship and quality carried throughout the car. However, Josh has now decided to sell up and move along, so we wish him all the best in his future moddin’ (mis)adventures.
