  CATCH THE DRIFT

Relieving the boredom that can be the office cube-farm, Hot4s has dug up two of what we think are the internet’s best online games for you to break your thumbs over. Check them out.

Those crazy Euros at AMG just love to get their finest out in the snow and just thrash ’em about, and now you too can join in on the action with the AMG snow drift game. Basically, you pedal your Merc AMG as fast as you can towards drift boards (aka walls) and then drift at the last second to cover them in more snow. The more snow you throw, the higher your points go.
It’s a very cool little game, with a great feeling of speed, and raunchy engine notes to boot. Somehow, we only managed just over 100 points, so I fail to see how people have got into the tens of thousands. Oh well, I guess we’ll just have to practice.
A very polished affair, Marshall Tyres has jumped onboard what is becoming called the ‘internet drift league’ with this cute little game. Unlike the AMG affair above, this time you pedal your quasi-Nissan around a very short tarmac drift circuit, trying to execute long, easy drifts before the 30sec cut-off time.
The best part about it is that you can upgrade cars later on and tyres, which really do make one helluva difference to the game’s engine.
Probably the best way to think of this game is like the good ol’ Micro Machines ‘god POV’ games back in the ’90s, and frankly (though still could well be lacking on our part), it felt like the track was more made out of soap than tar. Check it out.
