future of hybrid vehicles
Seeing the increasing prices of prime fuels, future of hybrid vehicles seems bright but the technology is still in research stage. Though some companies have started to sell these cars, but- is it right to rely upon the claims regarding the performance and durability especially in India where road and traffic conditions are not so good?
Well in regards to an electric car, I fail to see anyone who would want a car limited to about a 100km trip before needing to recharge.
Also gotta consider that in Australia we use coal to make our electricity and I dare say that's not a whole lot better for the environment than an efficient petrol powered car.
Needless to say I'll stick with my fuel guzzling 4WD. My next car though? A bigger 4WD which will probably chew through about 30L/100km on the freeway
Great update
Well the new technology will surely save more energy but you won't be able to enjoy the real speed of your vehicle unless you drive at 20 kmh even on petrol.
I agree. It seems like a lot of work recharging batteries. I'm still waiting for more info on future innovations. gm crate engines
well hybrids or electric cars are not for every type of use for sure. for touring we should stick to 4wd still. but i believe 80% of people could swap cars for electric, as they just commute or drive to shops. any new technology and ideas are here. BetterPalce is great one, they'll offer battery charge stations, but also battery swap. It will take 5 min to swap battery, so you don't have to recharge for hours. that is ideas for a longer trips. of course it will be years till we get there with building the whole infrastructure. but batteries will be cheaper and more efficient too. And electric cars and hybrids just better and better, check my favourite for now

I think diesel, while it generally costs more per litre, is more the fuel of the future than electricity is. I mean, there's diesel cars that can do under 3L/100km (Top Gear UK's frugal race anyone? The Volkswagen Polo BlueMotion averaged 2.9L/100km (80mpg) over about 1200km).
Im going to throw it out there and say that hydrogen is the future (next 100 years
or so).
i belive in this technology and i think that the day when they would be able to drive for 300-400km without recharging is not that far
Well The future for Hybrid cars are great, as fuel prices defiantly will raise more in coming time.
Those hybrid cars having low maintainability with low power consumption defiantly wins the race...moreover if you get speed too then its really nice.
