BURN, BABY, BURN!
Well, we won’t hold the fact that they drive a Commodore against them, because Drag Tag is making life good for everyone with an introduction of a large-scale burnout pad down at the Tag home base.
Open for freestyle burnouts (almost sounds arty, doesn’t it?) and a spot of drifting, the pad is hailed as the biggest dedicated burnout pad in Australia, and it has the support of the local police. Bah!
Even Thursday and Friday night, members of the public can bring their own cars and cut loose on the pad in a legal and safely controlled environment.
On the second Tuesday of every month, Drag Tag opens the facility for its Car Park Street Meet, where all makes and models of performance cars come along and hang out in the huge carpark. Owners and the public can mingle and check out the high-quality performance cars that have turned up. The huge burnout pad will be operating for serious competition on each and every one of these special-event meets.
We think it’s a damn-friggin’-tastic idea. Pity it’s down south…
If you’re a lucky local, scope it out, or head to www.dragtag.com.au for more info.
